Legacy System Upgrade for CICM


The Chartered Institute of Credit Management (CISM) is the world’s largest recognised professional body for the credit management community. They approached PSP for help with upgrading their legacy membership management system.

The Problem


The professional body was using an old membership management system which required data to be manually extracted. In some cases, this took half a day to complete.

Solution


The client needed the system to be able to run daily, weekly, monthly and yearly reports automatically to save them administration time. CICM trusted PSP to deliver the project because of our experience working with several other professional bodies.

PSP developed the existing code so that the system could run reports automatically. We set up the reports to run overnight so that the data was already in the manager's inbox before the start of the working day.

We developed and integrated a data warehouse which takes the data out of the legacy systems and presents the information on a modern and interactive dashboard.

By improving the reporting capabilities of their existing system, CICM could continue to use their legacy system, which saved them hundreds of thousands of pounds in replacing the legacy system.

The automated data extraction saved the client as much as 20 hours per week in administration time, while the modern user interface meant staff could see their data on a modern and user-friendly dashboard.
