How quickly time passes! After the thrill of becoming a regional winner of Small Business of the Year 2018 at the British Chamber of Commerce Awards for the second time, we’re now preparing and very much looking forward to the final this Thursday evening at Tobacco Dock, London.

I'm so proud of how PSP-IT Design & Development has grown over the ten years since myself and CTO Brett Caruso founded the business back in 2008. From our humble beginnings above a shop in Bourne, a small Lincolnshire market town, we now have 16 members of staff housed in plush new offices. I’m still overwhelmed that the judges selected us for one of their regional winners for the second time.

Judging of the Small Business of the Year Award is based on the following criteria:

• What differentiates the company's products/services from their competitors
• Strong managerial and financial performance
• Innovation
• Potential for growth
• Evidence of the businesses commitment to staff

And we are delighted to have been thought worthy regional winners against such important principles. It really is a testament to the hard work, dedication and passion our designers, developers, customer service and sales teams demonstrate on a daily basis. To achieve this on our tenth anniversary year makes it even more special.

On Thursday we’ll be up against 9 other regional winners for the title of National Small Business of the Year 2018. Although to win would be beyond exciting, we’re just looking forward to attending the big event on Thursday evening.

We’ll be the only company on Thursday waving the Lincolnshire flag so wish us luck!
