As a company, we feel it's important to support charities that do good work within the community. Some of our chosen charities are close to us on a personal level, others we feel work tirelessly but are mostly unrecognised by the larger population. The following charities are ones that we support on a regular basis;
The UK's largest national charity for vulnerable children - Barnardo’s is the UK's largest children's charity. They change the lives of the children and young people in the UK who most need their help. They listen to them. They believe in them – no matter who they are, what they have done or what they have been through. This belief started with their founder Thomas Barnardo, who stood up for the most vulnerable children in society. Barnardo’s vision is his vision – a world where no child is turned away.”
Barnardo’s currently helps and supports over 300,000 children and young people a year and has over 1000 community based projects and services around the UK
Marie Curie provides amazing nursing care, hospices and practical support for families dealing with terminal illnesses. They work with compassion and understanding to improve end of life care for those affected by terminal illness.
Our next charity deals with the cruellest and most ravaging range of diseases affecting older people in the UK. Dementia UK provides specialist dementia support for families through the Admiral Nurse service – specialist dementia trained nurses offering practical and emotional support to families affected by dementia.
The Brain Tumour Charity is at the forefront of the fight to defeat brain tumours, supporting people affected by brain tumours and researching technologies and drug developments to aid in the fight against brain tumours. A Brain Tumour is a very cruel diagnosis but can be survived with the right support and medical help. The work of the Brain Tumour Charity and dedicated research scientists means that more people can survive and thrive for longer after diagnosis.
Whatever your personal situation or your business position, we encourage you to support a charity that you admire. Pass on your luck to others less fortunate and become a part of something bigger.
