Leading independent distributor of cult and horror movies, Arrow Films, asked PSP to upgrade their existing site to further showcase their substantial collection of films, improve their customer experience and to include a blog page to help strengthen their brand.

Blog page

The new site features a blog page which mirrors the existing ‘News’ and ‘Events’ pages and lets Arrow Films staff upload and edit content through the Umbraco CMS.

Smartly laid out with navigation bars on the top and sides of the page, the blog page is simple to use and allows users to easily find their way around the site. Visitors can also filter posts by post type and categories, plus they can search through blog titles using the keyword search bar.

The top of the page features a carousel banner which is populated with images and videos, linking the user to other articles and pages on the website.

Members can like, share and comment on the articles and reply to comments. Site administrators can moderate and delete comments easily.

Encourage Newsletter Sign-Ups

PSP has also included the use of a ‘sticky banner’ which is always visible on the bottom of the page wherever users are on the site and encourages site visitors to sign up to the newsletter. PSP specifically designed and located the banner as to not affect the browser experience.

Solution to Customer Experience Flaw

Arrow Films identified a problem with payments where a pre-order payment would fail if the customer’s registered payment address changed. Site administrators can update the billing address themselves to improve the customer experience and speed up the order process.

Member’s Benefits

As part of the development of the site and membership advancements, the existing members area was upgraded to include a new “Gold Members Area”. This allows customers to sign up to a special membership where they can earn points on purchases and have access to exclusive content and discounts.
