Bright, Interactive & Multi-Functional Website Built For National Awards Event

In June 2019, we were thrilled to see the launch of the new PSP-built interactive events website for our longstanding clients, the Fresh Produce Consortium. The standalone website was built primarily to promote FPC’s very large and successful annual awards event (held in 2019 in the Tower of London), and to enable guests to quickly and easily book seats or tables for the evening celebrations.

The FPC Awards website features everything users could wish to know about the awards, from previous winners, judges, details about the individual awards, and information about the sponsors to who attended the year before, directions to the venue and FAQs. The website is straightforward and easy to use with an eye-catching video taken at the previous year’s award evening running continually in the background.

The Fresh Produce Consortium wanted an interactive website that would seamlessly enable visitors to make online reservations for full tables or individual seats. Using an interactive table plan, users can select and pay for their table/chairs of choice. The website is fully responsive, meaning that people can book using either desktop or mobile devices.

The ability for entrants to be able to submit their entries via the website was a key requirement. Entrants could select and enter a particular category award and upload documents and images in support of their entry. These would then be stored within the system where the judges would be able to access them during the judging process.

The finished website, using the colour scheme selected by our client, is comprehensive, interactive and user friendly, linking directly to the client’s Vision CRM system and their Umbraco sites combined, keeping all systems up to date.

As well as having a great user experience for website visitors, the FPC Awards website also has a very easy-to-administer content management system. The Umbraco content management system is configured to ensure that the site is extremely easy to manage, matching the requirements and skill of the Events Manager and her team. They have been given everything they need to be able to update the site easily and quickly.
