Applications are open for the South Holland Business Awards 2016. Now in its fourth year, a brand new website has been launch to support the application process and attract new sponsors.
Phil Scarlett, President of Spalding and District Area Chamber, said the new website was essential as the awards have become more popular since launching in 2012.
“Last year’s awards were great, but this year we are planning further improvements. Businesses will see a big change in 2016.
“The biggest improvement is a new website www.shb-awards.co.uk, which has been built by this year’s headline sponsor PSP IT Design & Development, based in Pinchbeck, Spalding.
“The website offers a wealth of new information. As well as insights into previous winners, it also offers downloadable application forms, hint and tips about what the judges are looking for, plus sponsorship opportunities for local firms and the chance to buy tickets to the ceremony in November”.
Joe Verde, Chief Executive at PSP IT Design & Development, said: “We wanted to pledge our support to the South Holland Business Awards 2016. Not only do we want to help drive up the attendance and the number of award applications, but we also want to make it a memorable night. As headline sponsor we are passionate about supporting our local business community and the Chamber of Commerce events team who are organising the awards.
“People can expect a great night which celebrates the success of South Holland businesses, as well as fantastic networking opportunities. I think many people will come away surprised at just how many successful and diverse firms we have on our doorstep.
“As a sponsor I think it’s really important to champion local success stories, and support the business community you are part of. For PSP IT Design & Development, it’s a way of giving something back.
“There’s a selection of sponsorship opportunities available for the 2016 awards, and they offer extremely good value for money, given the exposure your company will get on the build up to the ceremony and on the night itself. If you’re interested have a look at the new website”.
Seven award categories are available this year, including Apprentice of the Year, Supporting the Community Award, Customer Care Award, Business Person of the Year Award, Business Innovation of the Year Award, Small Business of the Year and Business of the Year.
The awards are open to members and non-members of the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce.
Speaking about the free publicity winning awards can bring for businesses, Simon Beardsley, Chief Executive at the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce said: “Entering and winning awards can make a significant difference to a business. It helps differentiate you from the competition as well as generate media interest.
“It can also help boost staff moral and even recruitment. But most importantly it positions you as the best in your field, which is attractive to customers.
“South Holland’s business community has a lot to celebrate, so it’s only right that a recognised awards ceremony is returning for a fourth year.
“I’d also like to thank all the local sponsors who have helped make it possible, including our headline sponsor PSP IT Design & Development”.
The award ceremony will take place at the Springfield’s Events Centre on Thursday 24 November 2016.
