Website Content, Google & Relevancy

Website Content, Google & Relevancy

You may have noticed we have given our website a bit of a spring clean! By a spring clean we mean we have re-written most of our online content for our services, products and case study website pages. We realised some of our content was too wordy or too technical and we like to keep our customer happy! More importantly we know Google updates its hummingbirds, panda, penguins and pigeons on a regular basis and we want to be continually up-to-date.

Website Content & Google Relevancy

We know that with the latest Google Hummingbird algorithm change and others prior to this, it is always hard to know what best practices to work by.

Here are some ways to help Google find your website:

  • Use H1, H2, H3 tags and paragraphs to categorise your written content.
  • Link to websites with authority.
  • Create relevant, informative and authentic content.
  • If possible get a mobile website or responsive website developed.
  • Update your website on a regular basis, a website should never be finished!

Creating Good, Clean Website Content...

A good place to start is writing original content... write engaging and thought provoking content that people will like to read or share. Provide answers to questions… people using search engines, really want an answer to a question. Be accurate and credit information sources. Use mixed media such as images and video, people like to digest information in different ways, so offering content in different forms, opens up your audience. Making sure your website is mobile friendly has been officially included into the latest Google Algorithm.
